Call for Applications: Full-Time and Part-Time Academic Staff Positions (Academic Year 2026–2027)

University College of Business (UCB)

The University College of Business (UCB) announces openings for full-time and part-time academic staff positions for the academic year 2026–2027 within the Faculty of Economics, Law, and Social Sciences (FEDSHS). Applications are invited for the following positions:

I. Academic Positions by Department

Department of Management

• Lecturer / Researcher (Full-Time) – Management / Economics (1 Position)

Department of Finance and Accounting

• Lecturer / Researcher (Full-Time) – Finance / Accounting / Auditing (1 Position)

Department of Law and Social Sciences

• Lecturer / Researcher (Full-Time) – Civil Law (1 Position)
• Lecturer / Researcher (Full-Time) – International Relations (1 Position)

II. Candidate Requirements

General Requirements

Candidates must meet the following general criteria:

• Hold Albanian citizenship or possess valid legal residency.
• Have full legal capacity to act and be fit for work.
• Meet the required educational standards and possess the necessary professional capabilities for the position.
• Have no prior criminal record (by a final court decision) and must not be subject to ongoing criminal proceedings.
• Have no history of disciplinary dismissal from prior employment for serious misconduct.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the legislation governing higher education in Albania.

Minimum Academic Criteria

• Hold at least a PhD (“Doctor of Sciences”) degree in the relevant academic field.
• Possess an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of above 8.0/10 for university studies, and a GPA of above 8.5/10 for profile-specific courses.
• Have no final court conviction for intentional criminal offenses.

III. Preferred Qualifications (Selection Priorities)

Priority in the selection process will be given to candidates who possess:

• An academic degree of Doctor/PhD (under 63 years of age), or the academic title of Associate Professor (under 63 years of age) or Professor (under 67 years of age).
• Prior higher education teaching experience.
• Postgraduate qualifications.
• Certified proficiency in foreign languages.
• Active participation in scientific conferences.
• Excellent classroom communication and pedagogical skills.
• A record of scientific publications, monographs, or university textbooks.
