The Center “Institute for Business Studies and Applications” (ISAB) with NGO status is registered with Decision No. 916, dated 31.07.2014 at the Tirana Judicial District Court and is part of the organizational structure of the Institution of Non-Public Higher Education University College ” Of Business ”. ISAB aims to support the activity of the academic staff and students of UCB for the realization of study, research – scientific work, for projects related to the realization of economic, legal, statistical analysis, professional surveys of various indicators related to the above areas in the process of education and academic studies, training, scientific publications and complete academic, scientific and / or professional analysis. ISAB’s mission is to prepare and implement the conditions to provide Lifelong Education, to specialists, experts and professionals in the fields of business, finance, accounting, etc. In these years of its activity, ISAB has paid attention to the preparation of training programs for further professional qualifications of all interested parties who follow the processes of obtaining Professional Titles; has also paid attention to conducting in-depth studies, professional business analysis. ISAB has also focused on engaging in projects in partnership with UCB and / or other HEIs / NGOs, in international project programs that support the development of Institutions that are part of the field of education, with the aim that the Institute through projects that implements to serve the growth and empowerment of Albanian society, economy, business and beyond.

Objectives

Objectives that ISAB aims to achieve:

  •  To provide non-profit services, specialized in the fields of economics, finance, accounting, law, professional studies, etc., relying on modern information and communication technologies;
  • To present a high scientific profile in analysis and studies, through the commitment of its best capacities, as well as by collaborating with a staff of local / foreign experts
  • To develop professional culture for specialists in various fields who are interested in knowing international standards, best practices of the west, for modern knowledge in the disciplines of economics, finance, accounting, investment and markets, law, professional studies, statistical analysis, as well as in increasing the capacities of human capital, IT products specialized in these fields, etc .;
  • To offer partnership in the organization of joint Scientific Conferences with local / foreign HEIs, in order to publish the innovations it brings through works, studies, analyzes in each field it covers;
  • To be developed through capacity building in the staff of local and foreign experts, as well as in the expansion of the portfolio of training programs it offers for high professional qualifications (continuous). ETC.

ISAB in the package of qualification training programs it offers has had a close cooperation with the Approved Accounting Association enabling the design and development of a qualification training program for all graduate students, economists, accounting professionals attending professional qualification training to increase the quality of practicing their profession and obtaining titles such as: Certified Public Accountant and / or Accounting Expert. ISAB has established a network of well-known experts in the fields of accounting and finance, MRS / IAS and Financial Reporting, financial regulation, academia, experienced experts in the local and regional insurance market or with experience in well-regulated markets, lawyers with experience in the field of financial regulation and good knowledge of commercial legislation and civil code, as well as experienced experts in the fields of personal data protection and prevention of money laundering. He has always valued and believed in the human capacity with which he cooperates. ISAB has made efforts to integrate in the field of international projects, by providing its expertise in designing training programs, professional, curricula of study programs in each study cycle, etc., but is not yet part of any project implementation.

Real Estate Broker Trainging

The Real Estate Broker Program aims at the professional training of Real Estate Brokers and their certification with the aim of LICENSING for the legal exercise of their professional activity by the Ministry of Justice.

Program description

The mandatory training program for practicing the profession of ” Real Estate Broker ” aims at theoretical, practical and professional training in the field of real estate brokerage. The program aims to develop the personality of individuals to live in harmony with the world around them and to prepare them to offer advice, negotiation and mediation in order to realize transactions that have as their objective real estate, as well as to create and manage a private business, as a physical or legal person”.

The real estate industry as a business but also as one of the most important sectors in the field of services is attractive and motivating for anyone who wants to do business or be employed in this sector. In the context of various changes and developments in Albanian society, as well as in many other services, it has become necessary for the evaluation, negotiation and sale of real estate to be carried out by trained professionals with the appropriate legal and economic knowledge about them.

This mandatory training program will pave the way for improving the quality of the real estate brokerage service. The University College of Business conducts its activity based on Law No. 80/2015 “On Higher Education and Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions in “Republic of Albania”. HEI provides the academic and technical infrastructure for the successful development of this program. HEI is institutionally accredited according to the legislation in the Republic of Albania.

The modules of this program will be accompanied by examples and real cases, giving the participants the opportunity to apply the knowledge obtained, as well as to develop interpretative, analytical and decision-making skills at the legal obligation in relation to real estate in line with the objectives of the module provided.

At the end of the program, the applicant will have received full knowledge to exercise the profession of “real estate broker” and will be able to assess the needs of clients; different types of real estate; the legal regime of real estate; knowledge of the Civil Code in Republic of Albania; obligations and conditions of contracts; the main risks arising from organized crime and money laundering as well as the legal obligations arising from the legislation of the field.

This program is suitable for individuals who are candidates to exercise the profession of ” Real Estate Broker “, meeting the theoretical and practical needs of professional training, with the aim of continuous education, in accordance with the legislation in the Republic of Albania and obtaining the necessary knowledge for practicing the profession.

METHODOLOGY OF TRAINING DEVELOPMENT

For the training methodology, the trainers and academic staff of the University College of Business will:

  • Develop an interactive training method;
  • Make an effort to maintain a balance between the theoretical and practical treatment of the issues that are the subject of discussion, where the practical aspects will have priority;
  • Take care of constructive, distributed and non-dominant interventions, leaving space for discussions by the participants (candidates for real estate brokers);
  • Simultaneously combine several training methods (verbal presentation, written presentation, team work, questions, use of audiovisual tools, etc.);
  • Have the ability to present the material without any documentary support and to prepare the necessary source materials, the support of theoretical and practical aspects, to observe the appropriate level of interaction and the support of training methods, the purpose and topics of the presentations and to stay within the time specified for a presentation;
  • Cooperate with other trainers who are involved in the same training or topic.

Teaching tools and methods:

MANDATORY TRAINING PROGRAM FEE

  • The mandatory real estate broker training program will be offered by the University College of Business for a set fee.

  • The fee for attending the mandatory training program for real estate brokers is 30,000 (thirty thousand) ALL, which covers all costs for the organization of this program by the University College of Business.

  • The payment of the fee will be made in favor of the University College of Business and can be divided into two installments. The first installment will be paid at the beginning of the training program and the second installment when candidate will receive the certificate.

  • Full payment of the fee by real estate broker candidates is a condition for obtaining a certificate upon completion of the training program.

     

ASSESSMENT

  • At the end of the training program, the candidate for real estate broker will undergo a written exam to check the knowledge acquired during the training.

  • The knowledge control exam will be organized by the Academic Staff (training) of the University College of Business, based on the mandatory training program modules.

  • The exam (with a duration of 2 hours) is evaluated with the maximum possible 100 (one hundred) points. Candidates who have obtained at least 80% of the exam points are considered to have successfully passed the knowledge control exam.

  • The candidate who does not successfully pass the exam, has the right to participate in the next exam, after repeating the mandatory training program.

Certification

  • At the end of the program, the evaluation certificate will be issued by the HEI University College of Business, in order to prove that the candidate has successfully passed the knowledge control exam and has acquired the necessary skills to be certified as a “Real Estate Broker” .

  • The participants will be provided with the relevant certificate, which is signed by the Rector of the University College of Business.

  • The certificate contains the name, surname, score of the exam, date of issue and serial number of the certificate, signature of the manager and the stamp of the training institution.

Personal Data Protection Officers

The purpose of the professional training for “Personal Data Protection Officers” at the University College of Business is to equip participants with theoretical and practical knowledge about the legal, ethical, and organizational framework of data protection. It aims to develop a specialized professional who ensures that every institution complies with the law and safeguards the fundamental rights of individuals.

Program Description

The University College of Business (KUB), as a higher education institution, also focuses on professional trainings in various fields in Albania. Through a bilateral agreement with the Commissioner for Information and Personal Data Protection, KUB has been authorized to offer professional training for the preparation of Personal Data Protection Officers.

This training program has been developed in collaboration with international experts and complies with the requirements of Albanian legislation as well as European Union directives on personal data protection. The program aims to prepare qualified specialists who will perform the role of data protection officers in public institutions and private businesses.

Who is required to attend this training?
Any public or private entity that processes personal data – such as government administration, universities, hospitals, banks, police, insurance agencies, postal services, commercial companies, notary/law offices, real estate intermediary offices, municipal authorities/units, private and public schools, hotels and travel agencies, community centers and NGOs, training and professional centers, IT and data management services, media portals and digital platforms, audit and accounting offices, enforcement offices, embassies and foreign representations, legal services, and business consultancy, etc. The law requires these entities to have a specially trained officer in this field.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FEE

  • The professional training for “Personal Data Protection Officers” will be offered by the University College of Business, recognized and approved by the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection, for a specified fee.
  • The fee for attending the professional training for “Personal Data Protection Officers” is 40,000 (forty thousand) Albanian Lek, which covers all costs related to the organization of this program by the University College of Business.
  • Full payment of the training fee by the candidates is a requirement for receiving the certificate upon completion of the professional training program.

Assessment

  • At the end of the professional training program for “Personal Data Protection Officers”, participants will take a written exam to assess the knowledge acquired during the training.
  • The knowledge assessment exam will be organized by the Academic Staff (trainers) of the University College of Business, based on the modules of the mandatory training program.
  • The exam (lasting 2 hours) is scored out of a maximum of 100 points. Participants who achieve at least 80% of the points are considered to have successfully passed the knowledge assessment.
  • Participants who do not pass the exam have the right to retake it after completing the mandatory professional training program again.

Certification

  • Upon completion of the professional training, participants will be issued a certificate of assessment by the University College of Business, demonstrating that they have successfully passed the knowledge test and acquired the necessary skills to be certified as “Personal Data Protection Officers”.
  • Participants will receive the corresponding certificate, signed by the Rector of the University College of Business.
  • The certificate includes the participant’s first and last name, exam score, date of issuance, certificate serial number, signature of the head of the institution, and the official seal of the training institution.
