ACADEMIC SENATE

The Senate is the highest academic governing body of the institution, responsible for fulfilling its mission. The Senate consists of 7 members who represent the main units of UCB and one representative from the student government. The Senate is chaired by the rector and meets periodically.
The Academic Senate guarantees the autonomy of the institution, academic freedom, and the rights of students; proposes the strategic development plan of the institution; approves the statute of the institution and its amendments, after obtaining the prior approval of the Board of Directors; approves the regulations of the institution and other acts, according to the definitions made in the statute; approves new study programs, changes, reorganizations and their closure. New study programs should be based on the annual draft budget of the institution, approve the annual plan of academic and research activities, etc.

Prof. Dr. Ylber BEZO

RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

Prof. Dr. Ylber Bezo Rector of the University College of Business, graduated in 1979 at the Faculty of Agrarian Economics, UBT, (Higher Agricultural Institute), in Accounting, with the title, Senior Accounting Economist. Doctor of Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. In 2015 he defended the academic title “Associate Professor” at the Agricultural University of Tirana. Participated in many national and international conferences organized in the field of finance, accounting and auditing. With a long experience in the economic field and with important positions such as: Director of the Accounting Directorate, Ministry of Finance during the years 1998-2010, trainer and expert certified by the London Board in national and international accounting standards, Director of the Directorate of Professional Development and Analysis, Founder, Auditor, Expert-Consultant for Accounting and Financial Reporting. He has published many scientific, economic, professional articles and books in the field of university education for building technical-professional capacities.

Prof. Asoc. Dr. Enis Fita

Dean, FACULTY OF ECONOMICS, LAW AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

Enis FITA is an Associate Professor in Management, serving as a Lecturer in Management at the Department of Management and as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Law, and Social Sciences at the University College of Business. In 2017, he earned a Doctor of Science degree in Management, with distinction (“Excellent”), from the Faculty of Economics and Agribusiness at AUT.  His academic journey also includes studies in Italy and France: he graduated with honors (106/110) from the University of Siena, completing both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Political Science with a focus on International Politics; he also holds a Master of Science in “Governance and EU Policies” from the University of Tirana’s Institute of European Studies. Since 2011, at the foundation of the University College of Business (formerly the Professional Academy of Business), Prof. FITA has contributed significantly to the institution, serving in various leadership roles. These include Head of the Department of General Studies, Head of the Department of Management, Head of the Internal Unit for Quality Assurance, and Head of the Organizing Board for National and International Conferences.

Additionally, he has been a Member of the Board of Administration, the Academic Senate, and the Scientific Board for National and International Conferences, as well as Deputy Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Economics.
 
Prof. FITA has been involved in higher education for over two decades as an external lecturer at several institutions, including the University of Tirana, the Agricultural University of Tirana, and “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës. 
 
He is also the author of two university textbooks: Effective Writing and Communication and Fundamentals of Sociology and Psychology, both published by Erik Botime, Tirana.
 
In addition to his academic roles, Prof. FITA has built an extensive career as an expert in higher education. He has served as an External Evaluation Expert for the Licensing of Higher Education Institutions/Programs at the Ministry of Education and Sports (MAS), and as an External Evaluation Expert for Accreditation at the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Albania (ASCAL). He is also a Senior Expert for the Bologna Process within the Secretariat of the Bologna Follow-Up Group in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
 
Furthermore, Prof. FITA serves as an External Advisor to the Director of the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA), is the Chairman of the National Parents’ Council, and is a Member of the National Public Safety Council.

Prof. Dr. Vjollca BAKIU

Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences

1980 – She completed her studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana (FEUT) and was appointed as an assistant at this faculty.
1980–1989 – She passed a series of university and postgraduate qualification examinations to further enrich her teaching expertise.
1989 – She obtained the academic degree “Candidate of Sciences,” today equivalent to “Doctor of Sciences.”
1992–1994 – Due to democratic changes, she pursued studies in France at ESTHUA, where she earned the degree of “Master.”
1994 – She was awarded the academic title of “Associate Professor.”
2000–2001 – She received the highest academic teaching title, “Professor.”
From 1997 onward – She completed a number of professional specializations in the fields of Marketing and Tourism in Greece, Italy, Germany, Israel, and other countries.
From 1980 until 2025 – She served as a faculty member at FEUT, lecturing in the fields of Marketing and Tourism.
2002-2007 Foreign Economic Advisor to the President of the Republic of Albania Alfred Moisiu

From 2025 onward – She has been serving as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences at KUB, Tirana. Over the years, she has published numerous textbooks for university education, secondary schools, and nine-year schools, as well as monographs, scientific articles, and periodical publications. She has actively participated in scientific conferences and seminars, both national and international, in countries such as France, Greece, Italy, Germany, Israel, North Macedonia, and others. She is a lecturer not only within the country, teaching at various levels of education such as Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, but also abroad. She has supervised numerous doctoral dissertations, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s theses. She has designed curricula and study programs at all levels of education, including not only the University of Tirana and KUB, but also other universities both within the country and abroad.

Prof. Asoc. DR. Miranda Kullolli

Director of CHPS

Prof. Asoc. Miranda Kullolli completed her higher education at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in the Technology profile. She then pursued two-year part-time postgraduate studies in the “Machine Construction” program. Throughout her career, she has earned several academic and professional titles: Technological Engineer, Constructor, Doctor of Science, and Associate Professor. Additionally, she has completed numerous national and international qualification courses, enhancing her knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering and technology.

Professional Experience: Prof. Asoc. Kullolli has made significant contributions to the field of mechanical engineering and technology, working as a technological engineer in both production and design. She has developed a distinguished academic career as a lecturer at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Polytechnic University of Tirana, shaping new generations of engineers through high-quality teaching and academic leadership. Prof. Asoc. Kullolli has a notable contribution to didactic publications, including scientific books, lectures, and supporting materials for students, as well as methodologies for solving engineering tasks and projects. These resources have served as valuable guides for students and professionals in mechanical engineering. With her exceptional dedication and extensive experience, Prof. Asoc. Miranda Kullolli remains a prominent figure in engineering education and research.

Dr. Shpëtim Cami

General Secretary of KUB

Dr. Shpëtim Cami graduated in Physics in 1984, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at “University of Tirana” and Electronic Engineering, in Computer Science profile, in 2008, at the Faculty of Information Technology at “Polytechnic University of Tirana”, in the distance education system.

In 2010, he completed a second-level master’s degree in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy at “Albanian University” in Tirana and in 2011 he completed a master’s degree in Political Science at the “International University of Struga” in North Macedonia.

He received the degree of Doctor of Political Sciences in 2014 and the title of Associate Professor in 2018 at “International University of Struga” in North Macedonia.

He has a long experience in the field of public administration and local self-government. Dr. Shpëtim Cami has exercised leadership duties in the academic field as Head of Department, Vice Dean and Dean in several universities inside and outside of Albania. He has several scientific publications as author and co-author. Dr. Shpëtim Cami has participated as a referent and panel leader in several national and international scientific conferences, inside and outside the country. He is the founder of the scientific magazine “The Heritage”, published by “International University of Struga” in North Macedonia.

He is founder and publisher of the informative scientific bulletin “Politics and Governance”, published by the Department of Governance, Political Sciences and Communication at “Marlin Barleti University” in Tirana.

Dr. Shpëtim Cami is co-founder of the “Space” Center, a research-scientific center in the field of international relations and a member/chairman of the board of the scientific magazine “International Relations”, published by the “Space”,in Tirana. He is the founder, co-founder, member and leader of several Civil Society organizations.
