Workshop II — From Data Structures to Territorial Decision-Making – IDVA
The second operational workshop of the project “Digital Innovation for the Valorization of Local Environmental and Cultural Heritage” – IDVA / DIVA was held at the premises of the Municipality of Berat within the framework of cooperation between the University College of Business (UCB) and local institutions.
The workshop focused on demonstrating how territorial analysis is built starting from structured data, prior to maps, dashboards, or strategic documents. Participants were introduced to the concrete architecture of the IDVA system: indicators, databases, GIS layers, and validation procedures.
Unlike traditional presentations, the session showcased a fully functional and already operational system — a digital territorial infrastructure that supports analysis, planning, and decision-making.
The workshop represented an important step in transferring applied research methods into the daily work of public institutions and strengthens UCB’s role in developing practical, data-driven governance instruments.
