At the premises of the University College of Business, an open lecture was held on the topic:
“Youth Towards the Labor Market: Career Counseling and the Programs of the Municipality of Tirana as a Bridge to Opportunities.”
The invited guests were Joniada Hito, Head of the Career Counseling Sector, Municipality of Tirana, and Majlinda Hysenlliu, Head of Employment Promotion for Vulnerable Groups, Municipality of Tirana.
During this lecture, students were introduced to the importance of career education, as well as the opportunities offered by the Municipality of Tirana through the Directorate for Employment Promotion and the online portal karriera.tirana.al, focusing on career counseling, professional portfolios, and vocational training.
Additionally, discussions covered modern tools used by this sector to identify young people’s fields of interest, especially when facing dilemmas related to personal and professional development.
Part of the lecture and discussion also included employment programs offered by the Municipality of Tirana to support vulnerable groups.
At the end of the lecture, it was agreed that through cooperation between the respective offices—Student Services and Career Counseling at UCB and the responsible sector at the Municipality of Tirana—this lecture will be followed by further training sessions on student career counseling. This initiative aims to empower young people in building their professional profiles and successfully integrating into the labor market.
