The University College of Business welcomed Ms. Armela Krasniqi, Chairwoman of the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA), for an open lecture with students and academic staff.

With her extensive experience in journalism and several years leading the regulatory institution of audiovisual media, Ms. Krasniqi shared an in-depth and professional perspective on the functioning, role, and mission of AMA within the Albanian media landscape.

During the lecture, she outlined the core principles guiding the work of the Audiovisual Media Authority, emphasizing the importance of institutional independence, transparency, accountability, and the protection of the public interest.

Ms. Krasniqi highlighted that AMA’s primary goal is to create a safe, fair, and balanced media environment in which professional standards and communication ethics are prioritized.

She also encouraged students to cultivate greater civil and professional awareness, urging them to report any blatant violations they encounter in audiovisual media. According to her, only through active participation and community response can meaningful improvements be made to the quality of media in the country.
