Introducing Students of the “Senior Assistant” and “Hospitality Tourism” Programs to the Code of Ethics, Tourist Package Reservations, and Their Employment

Details

As part of the course “Business Ethics,” students of the professional higher study programs “Senior Assistant” and “Hospitality-Tourism” at the University College of Business had the opportunity to participate in a special activity with a practical and professional focus.

The guest speaker was the founder of the tourism agency “Meridian Travel,” Ms. Migena Kamberi, who shared her experience in the tourism industry and presented in detail the agency’s Code of Ethics, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, transparency, and correctness in client relations. During this meeting, students were also introduced to the practical aspects of working in a tourism agency, including concrete procedures for booking airline tickets and organizing tourist packages.

An innovative and value-added element of this activity was the organization of real job interviews, where two students had the opportunity to directly engage in the selection process for vacancies announced by the agency. This moment served as a hands-on experience for students, preparing them for the challenges of the labor market and bringing them closer to professional reality.

As a concrete result of this collaboration, two students were selected and employed by the agency “Meridian Travel,” turning this activity into a success story and a clear example of the effective link between education and the labor market.

This activity once again demonstrates KUB’s commitment to providing quality education, oriented toward practice and the development of concrete skills that support students’ integration into the labor market.
