At the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences, an open lecture was held with UCB students and academic staff on the topic “Facing the Challenge of Self-Destruction,” delivered by Physics lecturer, M.Sc. Petrit Demiraj.
The discussion focused on one of the greatest global challenges: global warming and its impact on our existence and survival. Future trends and scenarios were analyzed, taking into account complex natural and social factors influencing this process.
The aim of this lecture was to raise awareness among students and beyond about the acceleration of this crisis and the urgent need for measures to prevent irreversible consequences.
Concrete opportunities currently available to take action and make a difference were also presented.
